IIT Gandhinagar
I did my undergraduate in Computer Science & Engineering at IIT Gandhinagar; I graduated at the top of my class, and was thus awarded the President’s Gold Medal. My education was supported graciously by the Cargill Global Scholarship, awarded to a cohort of 10 students every year from elite institutions across the country. In this time, I was selected for Google Summer of Code (2022), the Caltech SURF programme (2023), the MIT SGI Fellowship(2024), and participated in the Cornell, Max Planck, Maryland Summer School (2023) and Google Research Week (2024).
Research
I owe my education to many brilliant professors, but chief among them Prof. Anirban Dasgupta, under whom my research, while scattered, was unified by the general notion of developing theoretical tools for analysing gradient descent – the instrument we used was initially the Neural Tangent Kernel. But four years is a long time, so I also had the pleasure of picking up the theory of Complex Networks with Prof. Udit Bhatia and on probabilistic machine learning, particularly through the lens of Gaussian procesess with Prof. Nipun Batra. - Caltech & NASA JPL[^caltech] (2023-24) - MIT[^mit](2024), Pixar Research[^mit]
